Emerging facts about the killings of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) have surfaced. As gathered by New York Times , an investigation into the matter proved that Nigerian troops fired live ammunition at the “unarmed” Islamic group which negates army’s claim that the group were armed.

The newspaper concretized this fact with a visit to the scene of the attack and reviewed several videos, also spoke with witnesses and survivors before arriving at the conclusion that the incident was a “massacre.”

One of the survivors, Abdulahi Musa, who spoke with the newspaper affirmed that an officer aimed a gun at one of the IMN members and shot him despite holding an apron.
