Makalama, a settlement in Gatamwarwa ward, Chibok local government area of Borno state has suffered another attack from the Boko Haram insurgents. A Chibok resident affirmed they came through nearby deserted village, Gogumdi.

It was confirmed that the insurgents invasion happened late night on Sunday, 23rd of December, 2018.

At their emergence amidst heavy shootings, the villagers took cover in nearby bushes while the 117 task force battalion geared for a reprisal attack.

Another report from Magami village, Faru District of Maradun Local Government area in Zamfara state, (all in Nigeria) was attacked by armed bandits and seventeen people lost their lives as clarified by Police. The attack was confirmed to have happened about 4pm

The acting Governor of Zamfara state, Sanusi Rikiji, who is the speaker of the state House of Assembly, condoled with the families of the victims and people of Maradun Emirate and described the incident as unfortunate and worrisome.
