Official radio of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Radio Biafra took to their verified Facebook page today to give an update on the proceedings of the much-anticipated burial of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s parents, Eze Israel Kanu and his wife Lolo, Mrs. Sally Kanu.
In their update, they reported that all preparations are going well and there has been no disturbances or hindrance from security agents deployed by the State’s security service.

Morning Update of the burial rites of HRM Eze Isreal and Ugoeze Sally Kanu
In the morning of 13th Feb. 2020 in the compound of his royal Majesty Late Eze Isreal Kanu the Egwu Ukwu ll of Afara Ibeku Umuahia Abia State. There is an ongoing peaceful preparations of the burial ceremony, this calmness of the environment and as well the roads leading to the palace tantamounts to the peaceful personnel of the late King and his existing family, of course the Nigeria government should know that there is no reason to disturb the burial of this great father and mother of Biafrans and IPOB family and philanthropist. Therefore we ask the Nigerian security to maintain this calmness till the burial is over and allow people to attend the ceremony peacefully.
