APC, PDP Will Mess You Up, Shun 2023 – Bamgbose To SanusiBarrister Olusegun Bamgbose
Barrister Olusegun Bamgbose, the National Coordinator, Concerned Advocates for Good Governance, CAGG, has warned the dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Lamido Sanusi against jumping into politics.

Bamgbose warned that the erstwhile monarch would be messed up if he decides to join either of the two leading political parties, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, or the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Speaking in a chat with reporters on Wednesday, the senior lawyer also expressed shock that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State could accuse the monarch of corruption while he (Ganduje) has not proven himself to be clean.

“It’s really sad and very unfortunate that Governor Ganduje has finally succeeded in removing Sanusi as the Emir of Kano,” the Lagos-based lawyer said.

According to him, the reasons given for the removal of the monarch are weak and watery, adding that, “It’s really disheartening.”

Bamgbose said it was obvious that the Governor was not quite at home with the deposed Emir, noting that this may be because Sanusi has been blunt in his handling of issues.

“This is executive lawlessness,” he continued.

“The North and indeed Nigeria should not allow this to go on without redress. Sanusi is an asset to the nation. Ganduje is never his match.

“The Governor set up a committee to look into Sanusi’s corruption case, isn’t that funny? In a country where there is love for accountability, Governor Ganduje is supposed to be in jail.

“How can he accuse Sanusi of corruption when he himself is unclean. This is a total disgrace. Although Sanusi has accepted his dethronement in good faith and as the will of God, nevertheless Governor Ganduje should be cautioned.

“I’ll, however, advise Sanusi never to consider joining politics. He will be messed. Politics in Nigeria is dirty.

“Sanusi should never ever consider going into the murky waters of politics for now.

“If he decides to possibly contest for Presidency in 2023, which party? Certainly it can’t be APC, if he decides to join PDP, he will get messed up. He should steer clear off politics for now. It won’t favour him.
