UK’s chief medical officer Tests Positive For CoronavirusProfessor Chris Whitty
Britain’s Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty said he has tested positive for the virus and is now self-isolating.

Just like British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, Whitty said he showed coronavirus symptoms last night.

He said he will continue to advise the government on the medical response to coronavirus, supported by deputies.

His diagnosis comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced their positive status earlier today.

Whitty, 53, is also Boris Johnson’s chief scientific adviser.

He is a consultant physician and epidemiologist and Head of the National Institute for Health Research.
