The Thievery And Dishonesty Of Nigerian Politicians

The insensitive, callous and dishonourable natures of Nigerian politicians towards the Nigerian masses are in deed things that raise a cause to any sane person.

The rate at which they loot public treasury with so much impunity and impoverishing the Nigerian masses is utterly preposterous!

Stealing the common patrimony of our country for their personal aggrandizement, irresponsible luxurious lifestyles of buying unwanted posh cars, maintaining numerous mistresses and lovers while the masses struggle in abject poverty amidst the abundant natural resources the country is blessed with, which are bringing forth vast economic benefits to the country.

These crop of present Nigerian politicians clearly had their consciences severed long before assuming political leadership, and that basically explains the reason why the cries and pains of the masses do not in the slightest way touch them.

This brazen act of callousness ordinarily should make any human heart bleed but regrettably, the average Nigerian political leader today irrespective of their political position does not give a hoot about the pathetic situation of the people they begged and pursued for their votes earlier.

All these rogues in the Nigerian polity are only interested in becoming stupendously wealthy. After stealing for themselves, they steal for their unborn generations even to the fourth, and fifth.

Pathetically, but quite realistically, this act of ignominy where thievery, and embezzlement of funds have become the order of the day obviously is now irredeemable among the people Nigerians have come to see as their leaders.

The recent Coronavirus pandemic that hit the country has shown that they are nothing but gloried criminals masquerading as honourables, and one is compelled to ask, if there is actually anything honourable about criminals? Absolutely none!

Yes, some people might posit that even among thieves there is honour but not with the thieves in charge of the polity of Nigeria.

These unrepentant looters who parade themselves as men and women of honour are in actuality people of gross misconduct who derive pleasure in seeing the pain of the agonising Nigerian masses whom they have forced to be in doors without adequate provision of relief materials to assuage the sufferings of the masses in this Coronavirus pandemic.

Any responsible government led by sensible and humane politicians by now would have made some sort of good economic support to the masses but not Nigerian political leaders instead the falsehood being peddled is that they have shared so much money to virtually all Nigerians but in reality the claim is simply a ruse.

What actually happened was that these unscrupulous politicians took the money meant for the entirety of the masses, and shared just for their friends and families then gave the masses around them handouts, and as usual used the dirty media at their control to propagate the falsehood that they had distributed enough relief materials to the masses.

Most recently, the European Union has given the Nigerian government 50 million Euros to help in the fight of Coronavirus and possibly provide some relief to struggling Nigerians but unfortunately as they looted the 2 trillion naira within two weeks meant for the masses, and deliberately set the records ablaze in the Accountant’s General’s office, that is exactly how they will squander the 50 million Euro and subsequently, tell the Nigerian masses one funny but very unintelligent story in a bid to cover the fraud.
