Pray For Nigeria Over COVID-19 – Jonathan Begs Muslims Goodluck Jonathan
Former President Goodluck Jonathan has urged Muslims to use the Ramadan period to pray for Nigeria as the country tackles the Coronavirus (COVID-19) scourge.

Jonathan, in his message to mark the beginning of Ramadan, also urged Muslims to pray for the peace, health, and prosperity of Nigeria.

The former President, in a tweet on his official Twitter page on Friday, wrote: “As the Muslim Ummah begins the holy month of Ramadan, I urge all our brothers and sisters to pray for the peace, health, and prosperity of our nation.

“It is my hope you all will achieve the purification of the soul in this holy month.

“May Allah accept your supplications and cause us to overcome all our challenges, especially #COVID-19, #RamadanMubarak.”

Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria is 981, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
