Edo Guber - PDP Appoints Bala Makinde As Committee Chair, Secretary
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has appointed Governor Bala Mohammed as the Chairman of the electoral committee to conduct the governorship primary of the party in Edo State.

The lawmaker representing Mangu/Bukkos Federal Constituency of Plateau State in the House of Representatives, Solomon Bulus Maren, was appointed as the Secretary of the five-member committee.

Other members of the committee include Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle and Senator Lilian Ekwunife.

The development was announced in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Austin Akobundu.

The statement reads, “The National Working Committee of our great party has approved the nomination of the following party members and leaders to serve on the gubernatorial primary electoral committee.

“The committee is mandated to conduct the primary election that will elect our Party’s flagbearer in Edo State, for the upcoming 2020 Governorship election in the state.”

The Edo PDP primaries is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2020, in Benin City, Edo State.
