As Ondo state concluded her October 10th election which saw incumbent Executive Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu emerge victorious after winning in 15 of the 18 local government areas of the state, the Owerri Zone group has sent its heartfelt congratulations to the Governor for a victory well deserved.
The Owerri Zone group which is a socio-political organisation established by Owerri indigenes in Nigeria and in the diaspora which advocates for good governance in Imo state particularly and Nigeria generally sent their congratulatory message to the First Lady of Ondo State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, who incidentally hails from Owerri is also a member of the group.
Owerri Zone Administrators made these congratulations known through Africa Today News, New York.
Edwin Ajoku Esq, a seasoned legal practitioner in London and one of the Administrators of Owerri Zone commended the people of Ondo State for good judgement in the gubernatorial elections, He said:
‘Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is man who has given selfless services to the good people of Ondo state and his people deemed it fit to reelect him, that’s quite commendable and Owerri Zone is happy about his reelection. We congratulate him for this victory’.
Chief Better Joseph Ekeh, a London based international entrepreneur, and equally an Administrative member of Owerri Zone also lauded the Governor on his re-election and sterling Governorship tenure. In his words:
‘In politics, when a Governor has done well in his first term, it’s only normal for him to go another term to continue his good work to the people. Governor Akeredolu who happens to be our very good brother-in-law did extremely well in his first tenure and we are so elated that his own people saw his good works and decided to bring him back so on behalf of Owerri Zone, I say a big congratulation to the Governor for this flawless victory’.
Following suit, was the New York-based publisher of Africa Today News, New York and Africa Daily News York, Dr. MarkAnthony Nze who equally congratulated the Governor. He showered encomium on Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for tackling insecurity and bringing stability towards Governance in Ondo state.
Dr. Nze in his own words, stated:
‘Aketi is a Governor who truly has the interest of his state, and this he has demonstrated in so many ways from bringing stability in governance to solving the problems of insecurity. So far, he has done well and I didn’t have any iota of doubt about his reelection by the good people of Ondo state. Owerri Zone is saying, congratulations to Aketi for a resounding victory!’
