EndSARS Amotekun Arrests Suspected Looters, Arsonists

The regional security network in the southwest, Amotekun, has said it has arrested six suspected hoodlums, who allegedly took part in the looting, arson, and other crimes during the last #EndSARS protest in Ondo state. 

The Commandant of the security agency in Ondo State, Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed that the arrests of the suspects were made in various parts of the state.

Adeleye, who briefed journalists, at the Amotekun Corps Command headquarters in Akure, the state capital, said the men were arrested with exhibits linking them with the looting, arson, and attacks at police stations in the state.

Adeleye said the suspects have confessed to their roles in the various crimes perpetrated when hoodlums hijacked #EndSARS protest in the state.

The commandant listed items recovered from the suspects to include police cardigan, police boots, police riffle, and motorcycle.

He said items recovered from the suspects were incriminating and suggests that the suspects participated in the burning of police stations in the state.

Adeleye said the suspects would be handed over to the relevant security agencies for further investigation and prosecution.
