Unity: Nnamdi Kanu Reacts To Jonathan’s CommentMazi Nnamdi Kanu

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said that a recent comment by ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, that Nigeria’s unity is questionable, should propel the leaders to conduct a referendum in the country.

The former President had during a performance by the Port-Harcourt Male Ensemble International tagged ‘Peace for All Nations’ at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the unity of Nigeria is questionable.

According to Dr. Jonathan, Nigerian youths sometimes engage in all kinds of confrontation, recalling his conversation with one of his friends.

And in reaction to this, Kanu tweeted, ‘Now that ex-President @GEJonathan has said that ‘Nigeria’s unity is questionable’, is it not time to stop ‘killing for unity’ and resolve the ‘question’ through #referendum?’

‘Those that killed innocent citizens at Obigbo and Lekki for the unity of Nigeria that they may continue to loot, pillage and exhibit their dictatorial tendencies to the detriment of long-suffering masses are in for a SHOCK.’
