Ramos To Return For Real Madrid Against ChelseaReal Madrid Captain, Sergio Ramos

Real Madrid would be hoping that club captain Sergio Ramos will be fit in time for the clubs meeting with Chelsea in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final scheduled for May 5th.

The-goal poaching center-back who had recently undergone surgery on his torn meniscus, lasted 61 minutes of his comeback game against Elche on March 13 before re-entering the treatment room after further complications.

Ramos’s recovery from his latest muscular problem hit another roadblock when he tested positive for coronavirus, but he has since been pictured being put through his paces in training.

The defender’s return to practice sessions sparked optimism that he could return in time for Tuesday’s game, but Spanish outlet AS reports that Zinedine Zidane will instead hope to have him available for the second leg at Stamford Bridge.

The report adds that the Spaniard could be given a run-out in this weekend’s league meeting with Osasuna, which would be the 35-year-old’s 21st appearance of the season during a disrupted campaign.

Ramos is bidding to win his fifth Champions League crown with Los Blancos this season, and he now has just over two months left to run on his existing Bernabeu contract.
