Senate Approves Buhari’s $16.2bn, €1.02bn Foreign Loan Request

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday adopted a report by its Committee on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes for the confirmation of nominees as board members of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The confirmation followed the consideration and approval of the report of the Senate Committee on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes led by Senator Kwari Suleiman Abdu (Kaduna North).

Senator Abdu while presenting the report said his committee found the nominees worthy of the appointment.

‘The nominees while appearing before the panel for screening, gave in-depth responses to questions posed by members on how they would contribute to achieving the Commission’s mandate’.
