According to the source, ‘nobody was kidnapped during the attack but three men and an elderly woman were killed in the process. They also looted several shops and houses of their valuables and took away their goats and sheep as well.’

He further said that those who were killed in the attack have since been buried but he would not be surprised if the numbers of recorded deaths increases since a lot of people were severely wounded in the attack.

Consequently, the source said security in the area has been beefed up and the state government has stepped in with relief items to assuage the pains afflicted on the masses.

This is coming less than 48 hours after suspected bandits laid an ambush on the ever-busy Abuja-Kaduna road abducting an unknown number of travellers.

Those who narrowly escaped the attack revealed that the gunmen blocked the road at Katari village at about 2 pm, operating for more than an hour.
